Brandon's Testimony:
I grew up with my mother and stepfather. On the outside, our family appeared normal and ideal, however, inside the home was a different story. My parents both had children from previous marriages so their arguing grew increasingly worse. They did not attend church, nor teach the importance of a relationship with Christ. At age 15, my grandmother began to attempt inviting me to church regularly. I was reluctant at first, but she was persistent. Eventually, I agreed to go and ended up making friends with people at the church. I started to attend regularly and through fellowship and preaching of the Word, God showed me the way I grew up was not something I had to face alone. The challenges I faced in the home did not have to determine my future. The Lord showed me there was hope and it comes through Him. He showed me I was lost in my sin and I needed forgiveness. At a youth meeting, on a Wednesday evening, He dealt with my heart about repentance and salvation. The youth Pastor showed me in the Bible what it meant to be saved and I asked God to save me that night. God called me to preach in 2015 and He began dealing with me about missions during a Missions conference. Our church went on a mission trip to Honduras in August 2024 and there, God confirmed my calling to be a missionary.

Kayla's Testimony:
I grew up in Open Door Baptist Church, located in Richfield, NC. My parents took me to church every time the doors were open. When I was 12, God dealt with my heart during a salvation message at our church’s VBS program. That night, I knelt in prayer and asked God to come into my heart and save me. Going to a public school, I slowly allowed the negative influences of the secular world to affect my mind before I really started to build on my foundation of Christ. I started to rebel and going to church became only a habit and a way to please my parents. I fell away from God but His still small voice let me know I was not where I needed to be. I came back to my home church in 2013 and re-dedicated my life to the Lord. Since then, I have been blessed with serving in Children’s Church, Littles Sunday School and the puppet team. We went on a mission trip with our church in August 2024 and The Lord placed a burden in my heart for the people of Honduras.
